How are products made? Do you make all of your products?
All simple. pure. love. products are handmade by me. Products are made in a similar fashion to cooking using ingredients I’ve researched and sourced for their quality, and recipes that I’ve created and tested.
Are your products vegan? Cruelty-free?
The ingredients used are cruelty-free, mostly certified organic when available. Some simple. pure. love. products contain honey or beeswax. Vegan products are listed with a “(v)” next to the product name. All products can be made vegan, replacing beeswax with candelilla wax (wax esters derived from the waxy leaf structure of Candelilla shrubs), and/or by omitting honey.
What is the shelf life of my product?
While the FDA does not require me to perform official testing on product shelf life, I have been making products for many years. Stored properly, in cool conditions, once opened products have lasted well over a year. Water is never used in simple. pure. love. product recipes, eliminating the need for preservatives. However, bacteria you introduce through use will affect the shelf life of your product, once opened. Always use clean hands, or better yet a clean scoop, when taking products from your jar.
What if I have allergies? Can I personalize my products?
If you have allergies, please consult your physician before using simple. pure. love. products. Many products contain Beeswax, Honey, Sweet Almond Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba oil, and essential oils.
With that said, you can personalize any product for your needs, be that scent, omitting or swapping out ingredients, or anything else you can think of that I can accommodate. Personalizing is what I love best! Depending on ingredients cost may be affected, but usually it’s minimal if at all.

Regulations & Safety FAQ’s
Do you comply with regulations for your industry?
Body care products fall under the category of Cosmetics. There are no specific licensing or certification requirements pertaining to products sold by simple. pure. love., however production and business practices abide by FDA and state laws.
FDA regulates cosmetics under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). Under this law, cosmetics must not be adulterated or misbranded. For example, they must be safe for consumers under labeled or customary conditions of use, and they must be properly labeled.
The law does not require cosmetic products and ingredients, except for color additives, to be approved by FDA before they go on the market. However, cosmetics must not be adulterated or misbranded. This means that they must be safe for consumers when used according to the labeling, or as people customarily use them, and they must be properly labeled.
FDA does not have regulations specifying good manufacturing practices (GMP) for cosmetics. However, “Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Guidelines/Inspection Checklist” is a list of factors an FDA investigator will look at during an inspection.
FDA has not defined the term “natural” and has not established a regulatory definition for this term in cosmetic labeling.
FDA also does not have regulations for the term “organic” for cosmetics. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulates the use of the term “organic” for agricultural products under the National Organic Program (NOP).
FDA does not license cosmetics firms.
